Why my keyboards locks up?

Yes i was having problems with my computer after deleting aol and now i have everything running fine except when i try to use the keyboard the system locks up? then after i went into keyboards and did a test then it worked but now it locks up again any advise

If you can swipe it with a keyboard of the same type that is working, to verify that the problem is inthe keyboard and not in the computer If the problem is in the keyboard next check the cable If possible swap the cable Sometimes it can be a wire becomes pinched or broken or even the pins can be missing
