Whilst on internet or simply on MS Word for example, the monitor just switches off. The tower remains on. I have to press reset button on tower to get back to my desktop and continue / start again what I was doing. I have checked all connections to the monitor. All are fine. It switches off after various amounts of time, sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes not for ~2 hours and sometimes not at all.

It's as if the power is being pulled from it. I am unsure what to check / look at.

Regards

Richard Buckley

What I advise you to do is to check your computers power options.

Do the following:

Double Click the my computer icon on your desktop

Once there, double click control panel

In the control panel scroll down and click on the the power options icon

In the power options windo that pops up, click on the option to turn off your monitior.

Choose the never option.

Press Ok

This should solve your problem.
