What is Cleaning the Mouse

My mouse seems to be broken or something doesnt seem to be working properly. When i Try and move my mouse from Left to right, it gets stuck and I have to jerk it up and down in order for it to work. What can I do to fix it? Or do I need a new mouse?

There should be nothing wrong with the mouse All it may need is to be cleaned Make sure the computer isnt on, and remove the lid off the bottom of the mouse Take the mouse ball and with a damp cloth consisting of only water, clean the ball Then take a cotton swap and clean off the rollers on the mouse, there should be some dirt on the rollers Simply rub the cotton swap on the rollers and your mouse should be working like new.
