Use the diagnostics

i get a code 28 &a29 which is keeping my modem fom working need step by step process

Windows contains a built-in modem diagnostics feature which you can use to determine if your modem is working , even if you cannot dial out to make an Internet connection Open the modems icon in control panel to perform modem testing, use the diagnostics tab and select the the modem you want to test, pon running the test, you should see various AT commands and the modem's response in the command If the modem fails to respond, an error message will be displayed suggesting that you need to check hardware conflicts If modem responds problem corrected, if no response try another modem or check with the vendor.
