Its a possibility the cable that connects to your floppy drive in your computer is loose.

Try this troubleshooting technique:

We just want to see if you floppydisk drive is connected:

insert a floppy disk in your floppy disk drive

Then go to start and then run and type a:/ and press enter

If this brings up your floppy drives window it means your floppy disk drive is working properly

If it doesnt it means you might have reinstall your floppy disk drives driver or open the computer and check if there is a cable loose that is connected to your floppy drive on your motherboard .
