Hey, well I'm having a few problems with my computer. I updated to XP from ME a while back, and i just recently downloaded new drivers for my scanner to work for the new OS. The scanner worked fine, but now everytime i try to play a video game, watch a movie, or do anything else that is graphic dependent, the screen goes blank as soon as it loads. I can't do anything, the computer is still on and running, but nothing is happening, it sits with a black screen even though the monitor is on. These games worked perfectly with XP until I downloaded the new drivers for the scanner. I was thinking it might be the drivers, how do I uninstall the drivers? I already uninstalled the scanner software, but the problem persists, any help would be really appreciated.

I don't recommend it, but you asked:

To uninstall a driver you have to right-click on My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties, go to Hardware tab and click the Device Manager, find your scanner and right-click on it and choose uninstall.

I do recommend:

Get a new driver for your video card, since this could be the problem The location of the driver depends on what is the make of your card, you can find out in the same Device Manager mentioned above, under Display Adapters Note the name (like ATI, NVIDIA, MATROX, etc.) and look for their websites (try searching on www.google.com).

Hope this helps.
