I keep getting an alert from norton that I have a virus named w.32nimda.enc and it cannot be repaied. What do yo know about 1) whatis it? 2) how can it be repaired?

When I strart my desktop I get messinger messages hoe do I stop Them?

If the problem persists, make an anti-virus boot disk (look for it somewhere in the Norton Anti-virus' menues, I don't remember where it is) and restart with the floppy inside your drive (you may need to make certain modifications to your BIOS to boot of the floppy (or A), or not).

If it still persists, try out the free security check from symantec: http://security.symantec.com/
