I switched from Netscape 4.7 to 6.2 a while ago and for the last 6 months I keep getting "ghost" pages. It can happen when I first open my home page (which is Yahoo) or anytime I am going from one page to another.

The page copies just the lettering (not the colors) over and over again and get's really bad when I scroll down. It is totally unreadable.

Sometimes this will happen each time I get online and sometimes I can go days with the pages being OK.

The only way to clean the page is to completely exit from Netscape 6.2. Sometimes I have to do this 2 or 3 times or even shut down the computer to get it to stop.

I still have 4.7 and this never happens when I open that up.

I can't find a way to email netscape. I can only find their $29.00 phone line.

I was told that you were the only ones to ask.

I really like netscape. I've never had a virus problem with them like Internet Explorer has. I'd like to keep 6.2 if possible.

Can you help me?????

Thanks

Pam

I liked netscape too, before it became so overloaded with features and bugs that it was unstable to use You said that you do not want to switch from netscape, possibly because of the functions it features How about switching to a "netscapeLIKE" browser, actually netscape is based on this one: Mozilla.

www.mozilla.org

It has everything that netscape has, but has features that netscape does not include, such as pop-up blocking I use it because it is an open

But if you really want to stick with netscape, download the newest version 7.02: http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/
