Have been running Internet Explorer 5 and upgraded from Microsofts web site to Explorer6. Computer started to hang sometimes for seconds (mouse pointer had intermittent movement) sometimes for 2-3 minutes, sometimes have to reboot computer. Have removed upgrade to Explorer and hanging continues and have noticed during short spells of hanging there is computer activity. The hanging does not occur in any particular program has happened when using explorer and in desktop, has even happened while I've been typing this when I've moved the cursor with the mouse.

Would like to ask if you have installed a search engine toolbar, such as google

I myself had the google toolbar installed with my ie for a very long time, but a couple of months ago this problem started occuring to me, just like yours.

Today I uninstalled the google toolbar, and I know longer have lockups,, pauses..

I also noticed thought that IE6 had a recent update in in may-June. Funny that's about when this problem started...Hope this is some helpful information
