I keep getting an error message(msgsrv not responding)and it keeps freezing my computer. How can I fix this problem?

When working online, my mouse cursor freezes up although if you move the mouse or right click, it is working - the cursor just stops moving. This also interupts any activity in line but remains connected. Ctrl, Alt, Del. reveals (msgsrv not responding). Have tried unplugging USB devices and replacing the mouse. Device manager does not show any conflicts.

If your computer locks up, gives you a blue screen or the error message "MSGSRV" when you transfer your music files to Windows Media Player 7, upgrade your version of IomegaWare to 2.7 or higher to correct this problem or possibly a hack or popup program was installed.
