Hi,

I have a Dell Laptop. Iam unsure what the video card on it is.

Anyway, I am unable to dial out on the modem at work because all our phone lines are digital.

Does anyone make a phone line adaptor which would go from digital to analog? Is there any other way to dial out? Thanks Janet

In order to find out the video card you're using click start > settings > control panel > system and select device manger look for your video card and select it, it will display the type the anufacturer of the card In the case of your modem, that's what a modem do it transfer signal from analog to digital and vice-versa, phone lines are analog, the reason that you cannot dial out is 1) your company phone lines may have ISP numbers blocked, 2) You may not be dialing up an ISP such as AOL or Earthlink, any one of these may be causing your problem.
