The computer I own just got upgraded with the cd burner and a second hard drive. Then since I have had it back the sound does not project anymore. The speakers still work. Can you tell me what the problem could be.

It could be that that when you installed your cd burner that it may have overwrited your computers sound drivers What I suggest you do is the following:

You can try and do two things:

Click on the start button scroll up tand click run and type in the word control in the dialog box that pops up .

This should bring up your control panel, once there scroll down and double click the sounds and multimedia icon...

Once there click on the advanced option and slect the option that states what type of speaker configuration your computer has...suck as desktop speakers

The other option I suggest you do is right click the my computer icon on your desktop scroll down and select properties...

Once there selct the device manager option...scroll down to the sound and multimedia icon

right click that icon and slect the option to scan for hardware changes or you can also select properties and update your sound drivers
