How to up grade to win xp pro ed?

How can I upgrade from winXp home ed. to winXp pro ed. using the Xp pro. cd? because I keep on upgrading when it asks if I want to do a new clean installaion or to upgrade and it just keeps on staying in the home ed.? it doesent change?

You have to buy the verison that say's upgrade win XP and install it., and you bought the clean installion cd.
