Why your computer is crashing?

Im having problems with my new computer:

P4 2.1Ghz (intel)

512mb ram

Asus p355

GEForce 4 ti4200 vivo 128mb (graphics card)

OS win2000

my computer resets and crashes when playing some 3D games

and only some 3D games does this. in most case, i can play for

less than 1 minutes then the computer will either crash or reset

itself. Its not the memory problem cos i got it checked out

and i have installed the latest drivers for my graphics card still

the problem remains.

the game im having problem is quake3 - urban terror and soldier of fortune 2 and

morrowind which are all 3d games, however when playing return to castle of

wolfenstein it runs fine( wolfenstien is also based on quake 3 engine)

please help me narrow down to the source of the problem so

i can get it checked out...

You have to adjust the resolution to a lower the refresh rate
