My computer is turning off by itsel

my computer is turning off by itself, it them turns itself on, some of the time it scans the system when it comes back on and sometimes it doesn't

Your problem lies in the power options of your computer

Go to start and then run

When in the run dialog box type the word control and press enter (this will take you to the control panel)

When in the control panel scroll down and double click the power options icon

When in the power options window click on the advanced tab

When the dialog box pops up check to see if you have an option to keep your system on stand by, if so deselect this option and choose one that better suits your computing needs.

Click ok, restart your computer and everything should be fine

If this doesn't work check your power supply
