The computer just shut down and wont power back on at all

When i press the power button on my computer, nothing happens at all, it doesnt power up even for a second, the light doesnt go on at all nothing. Everything is connected properly, the voltage set right, the switch on the back of the power supply set right. i havent had any such problem before, it happened when i was reinstalling windows, the computer just shut down and wont power back on at all. please help

When reinstalling windows did your work on the inside of your computer to configure or add any new hardware If so you might have loosen the power connector on you motherboard.

If not when installing windows did you experience a power outage If so this may cause the power from not turning on.

Its also a possibility that the power cable for your computer might have a short, try using a power cord from another computer to see if your computer will turn on Also try using another outlet to plug your computer in If you have a surge protector make sure its connected properly to your outlet.

If all these suggestions fail, it might that your power supply will need to be replaced.
