Is the second hard drive dead???

After moving and setting my computer back up, the computer wasn't recognizing my second hard drive..After several reboots, I finally took the second hard drive out, pushed it back in and now I am getting a sound like a gun shooting when I boot the computer..Is the second hard drive dead???

It could be that when putting your second hard drive in that you incorrectly did it Do the following:

Take the second hard drive out.

Turn on the computer and see if the first hard drive works alone.

If it does you would have to correctly installed your second hard drive.

When installing hardware make sure you read the hardwares manually to obtain instruction how to properly install it.
