Hello. I have a problem which has been bugging me recently. I am using Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows XP and whenever I try to open a new window on IE (Ctrl+N), it always opens up with the status bar missing, even though my original window already had the status bar choice on. To make it appear again, I have to click View-Status Bar. I have already tried using the Lock the Toolbars function and it still does not work. So is there a way to open a new window (Ctrl+N) with the status bar permanently active?

Try going to the explore and open it up then go to tools, then internet options and in the advance tabs click restore defaults.
