How can I stop this?

when I try to go online, the computer switches itself off or crashes. How can I stop this?

By reading your computers profile it looks to me that you may not have enough memory installed on your computer to effectively use the internet to its full capabalities.

If you are using the internet to listen to music or either download something from the net Your memory (which I read was 64 mb) might not be enough to effectively do these things.

I suggest your upgrade your memory to by either adding another 64 mb SDRAM (which right now will only cost you like 20 bucks) or getting 256 MB of SDRAM ( which right now will only cost you like 45 bucks)

By adding this additional memory the problem of your computer crashing will be solved.
