How can I get the other computers to use my printers that are connected to my computer?

I have 3 computers connected by ethernet cables to a hub, that is connected to an external cable modem.(we have a cable connection to the internet through Cox Cable co.) How can I get the other computers to use my printers that are connected to my computer? This is at my home.

This question was answered on March 3, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


Do the following and this should assist you with your problem:

Click on the start button on your desktop

Scroll up and click on settings and then click on printers and faxes

Once there it will show you a icon of your printer, right click it and scroll and select sharing

This will bring you to the sharing properties of your printer

Select the option to share the printer...(if you like you can give it a name)

Press okay and the printers will be available to all computers on your network
