I tried setting up a wireless network in a group of three 2-storied houses, side by side, owned by 3 brothers, total length being about 600 feet end to end. The hub was set up in the middle house. I am using a Linksys router/access point combo; Netgear networking cards for laptops; Cox cable internet. It is working great in this house (in the backyard, garage etc.) but does not work in the other two. Is there any way where i can increase the signal strength using other devices and make it work in the other houses? Any advice would be most welcome.

Thanks

Che.

Its a possibility the range is a factor...if you get additional access points your problem could be solved

Since data that is sent over a wireless network is signal based its a possibility the signal is dying before it gets to the other locations.

Access points will allow the signals to continue in the access points paths.
