Why the game is freezing on your computer?

when ever i try to play any kind of game .the game being shut down though i changed vga card 4 times also there is not virus as i scaned with norton 2003 also i have used windows xp,me@98se @some times the system hang on ya can say it is rarrly by the way the games which shut down on my computer never shut down with my friends though their computer is pentuim 3 it is not all .i asked alot of peopel they said it is not hard ware prblem it is only soft ware problem so if ya please tell me the true point????????????????????????????

It is possiable that you need to add more memory and also you need to free up some of your resources by deleting some programs you arent using you may also need a higher graphic video card.
