My modem won't connect after being once

I can connect to internet but if I disconnect it wont connect again .the only way to connect again is to turn off computer and start up again

You may have a noisy phone line Try the connection using two modems of the same brand and model, if the performance is better the problem is most likely the phone line because two modems of the same brand and model are best to compensate for a noisy phone line You can also try going into the modems properties and go to connections and turn off data compression and restart your computer and then connect and disconnect and connect your modem.
