Please tell me how to improve my system speed .

i have a computer with intel original motherboard with 128 mb sd ram. when i am working on my computer works very slow. only some internet software are working on net. Please tell me how to improve my system speed

There are two ways you can improve your system speed.

You can either add more memory or upgrade your processor By looking at your profile, you hard drive looks good

Also your computer my be running slow because you might have programs running in the background Background meaning programs that started when you booted your system.

Programs like Instanting Messaging programs and Internet applications might be set to automatically start when you operating system loads Try to disable that option by right clicking the application and selecting properties Doing this will give you options on how to configure that.

If you upgrade your processor or memory I would suggest also to upgrade Windows 98 to lets say XP Home Edition When using the net and have XP installed along with the upgrade of memory and CPU internet usage will be faster.
