my modem shows an error message, error 630 :check your modem or telephone line.

i have checked the wires and line it's okey.

what can be the problem?

This question was answered on March 5, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Since you stated that your phones lines were okay I can only suggest two ways you can go to fix your problem.

1) Make sure that your modem is installed properly Check to see that your modem card is seated correctly in your computer.

2) Make sure your internet connection is configured to use the modem to access internet resources You can verify this by going to the setup options of your internet connection and select the option to verify if a modem is installed on your computer. If it is found the connection (meaning the Internet software you are using) will giving you instrtuctions on how to connect and use resources with your modem.
