My computer starts to power on, then it gives a long beep (or 4 short, really close together beeps -- I'm not sure which), and then powers itself down. It never gets past the initial POST. The whole process lasts less than 10 seconds. Every now and then, it'll power on and boot up like normal, but this is becoming increasingly rare. I have cleaned it out, removed and re-seated cards and memory, and checked all connections, but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

When you get 4 short beeps close together like that, it means the timer on your motherboard is not operational and must be sent in for repair
