in MS Outlook, emails sent to a specific organization are put into the outbox and delayed for variances of hours to days. it is not a rule that i have specified and it is not a rule which has been implemented in any way. it does it of it's own validity and only for specific email addresses. what's the deal?

Normally is shouldn't take that long to send an email.
Try the following to verify if your setting are correct..
Go to the tools tab in outlook
Scroll down and select options and click on the mail delivery option
Once there you will see an option that lets you select choicea on how you outlooks will send your emails.
If you select the option to send you email when you are connected this should solve your problem.
Also if this does not solve your problem..in the tools/ options window select the mail delivery option and click on the accounts tab , once there select your account and select properties...if you settings are not the way you want them to be mail will not be sent .
Also make the email address for the receipent is correct before you send the email, this could also be the cause of your problem.
