The problem is with my CD-RW drive. The damn thing only works when it wants too. It periodically won't open and sometimes doesn't read the CD's. Everything is hooked up properly and i believe the drivers are the right ones. In order for the drive to work i have to restart my comp and then open it while its restarting. What is the problem?

It looks like you have driver conflics or improperly installed Cd writer software...

Do the following:

First uninstall the software that came with your Cd Writer and reinstall the software with typical settings. Restart your computer and this will hopefully will help you with your problem.

If that doesnt work make sure your cd writers cables are connected properly in your computer asnd then reinstalled your writers drivers..

This I hope this will solve your problem.
