On my sony vaio, running Windows XP, burns CD's for a while with Windows CD Writting Wizard. After a couple of burns, I put a blank CD into my CD-RW and the Writting Wizard says that i do not have a blank CD in the drive, i've tried different CD's, and the only thing that seems to work is to use my recovery disk to restore drive C: ........ I've even went so far as to go into my regeristry and make sure my "hexagomic drive" file says "2" which means its a recordable drive. Any information you could provide would be appreciated, because restoring my C: every time i want to burn a couple of CD's is a pain.

Thanks,

~Pat

I've had the same problem with a software called Roxio What you might want to do is check if you have the latest Win XP Driver for your CD RW That usually solves the problem.
