Reformatting hard drives

is there a way of formatting an ntfs partition. ive got a C drive with 40Gb NTFS and a 20 Gb D Drive with Fat 32. I bassically want to clear the C Drive without affecting the D Drive

First copy all the system files and necessary files that you need and like to keep and do an installation of annd then reformat your hard drive You can't do C: without affecting D:
