The hard drive seems to be running continuously. It is interfering with all programs. Camt run speed disc because of frequent disc writes. I have tried shutting down all programs from the Task Manager; Going to the Control/All/Delete box I have shut down everything but explorer and drive still shows it is running full out. Because of this cant delete emails but can receive, wierd stuff like that and everything is slowed way down. Does this mean the hard drive is going or is there some other program disc accessing all the time that is hidden. Checked for viruses and Norton's couldnt find any.

The problem maybe that the hard drive is fragmented Disk fragmentation causes a bad slowdown of your system Defragmentation can result in a 200% performance gain There must be at least 15% free disk space to start defragmentaion You can buy or download the software to defragment your hard drive.
