FIRST BACK UP ALL YOUR DATA ON A FLOOPY.

DONT UPGARDE IN A DISTRACTING ENVIORNMENT;WAIT UNTIL THINGS ARE REASONABLY CALM.

PERFORM ONE UPGRADE AT A TIME AND VERIFY THAT THE LAST ONE IS WORKING WELL BEFORE YOU PERFORM THE NEXT.

READ THE DOCUMENTATION THAT ACCOMPANIES THE UPGRADE- ESPECIALLY THE SPECAIL NOTES AND WARNINGS CHECK THE MANUFACTURER'S FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.AND MAKE SURE IT IS COMPATIABLE WITH YOUR HARDWARE AND OPERATING SYSTEM FIRST SHUT DOWN AND THEN RESTART AND MAKE SURE NO PROGRAMS ARE RUNNING IN THE BACK ROUND WHILE DOING THE UPGRADE.
