WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF RE-SETTING THE VIRTUAL MEMEORY?

I have 192 megabytes of ram installed. this is an upgrade from the original 64 that came installed in my computer.

should I increase the virtual memory which the computer automatically sets at 32?
