How to install the wireless mouse?

I got a new wireless mouse for Christmas and don't understand how to install it. I must have to leave the old one connected while I install the new one , right? Help, please.

More detailed instructions are found in the Installation Guide that came with your device

Be sure you have first installed and verified the Wireless Series Base Station The wireless mouse will not work without it.

Install the Intel® Wireless Series Mouse software.

Restart your computer, if prompted.

Insert three AAA batteries in the Wireless Series Mouse.

Press the connect button on the bottom of the Wireless Series Mouse (the connect light flashes rapidly when the Base Station detects the mouse)

Press the connect button on the front of the Base Station (the connect light will flash slowly)

The Windows Hardware Wizard appears to configure the mouse Follow all prompts in the wizard You may be asked for your Windows and/or Mouse CD.

Verify that the Mouse is connected properly by moving it If the pointer on the computer screen moves, it is properly connected If it does not move, refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Installation Guide.
