Network Virus

Can a virus spread through a network from an infected computer

if file sharing is not enabled? Is it safe to leave a know virus infected

computer on a network with others without this feature enabled,

or can the virus spread through the network in some other manner?

As long as you contain the virus in the client computer it should be fine Disable any file sharing in that client computer just to be safe.
