My computer not operating correctly?

My computers do not seem to be operating correctly and I have them networked but I am not sure I am using network for all possibities. Do you make housecalls and what does it cost to take look at my computers system? Thanks Rich Mendonsa

Try this first before you get someone to do a housecall.

If you can install 98 se on both machines that makes thing simpler (apart form the upgrade ofcourse)

98 has ICS (internet connection sharing) One machine is the Server, others are clients.

ICS makes a Floppy disk to setup the Client PCs, and is pretty much automatic, very simple to set up.

If you can share files properly, then you've got the networking sorted, so thats that problem out of the way

I have 2 pcs on a Crossover lead, but if I had a switch I'd use it no need to do away with it, it wont make any differnce, and gives u the option of adding a laptop, or another pc anytime My ICS is fine, reliable for a few years now

I agree with SysExpert, it's probly the propietry software causing issues there usually no need to use ISP-specific browsers (if I understand u correctly) IE is good enuf.
