I have a 7IXE4 motherboard, AMD Duron 700 CPU, 256MB RAM and the latest revised BIOS, with "Fast boot enabled." The O/S is Windows 98. When I switch it on, it takes at least a minute to check the memory, which is far too long! Pressing the ESC key does nothing. After that it then detects the various masters and slaves, and then takes another minute before it continues. Then everything goes OK. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

well if u need your computer to turn on faster then it already does u may want to add memory to your motherboard if that is done make sure u place the new chip in front of the old chip.
