I am trying to install a second hard drive in my computer. I installed the hard drive properly and when I tried to install the windows xp pro software when the computer rebooted the first time I got an error message to stop before the computer was damaged. Something about unbootable. When the computer starts in the beginning it says not reading ide cable or its not working properly. Have you ever heard of this before?

Two problems you are having here, before you continue to install check the system requirements first, you need more hard drive space for XP Pro, second check your IDE cable connections and make sure you make one hard drive the master and one the slave, check the back of the hard drives for settings.
