I took my processor chip out , my computer powered but didnt boot.

i took my processor chip out to examain it and clean the fan. when it was put back together, my computer powered but didnt boot. did i short curcuit or erase something

Its a possibility that you didnt reinstall it correctly Try to remove and reinstall it Be very careful not to force the processor in to its slot If a processor is force thed pins that connect to its socket might bend IF doesnt bend you might to replace the processor which might run anywhere from 75-200 bucks.
