Why does my window explorer keep encountering problems ?

On my daughter's computer at home, whenever I try to go directly to my documents and request one of those to open, I always get the following message:

Windows Explorer

Windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the

inconvenience.

If you were in the middle of something, the info you were working on might be lost.

Send error report Don't send

The only way I can access the documents is by being on line. This is true with anything I try to access from the desk-top: works, games, etc

I don't know if she has accidently has done something to cause this or if she has found a way to keep her 10 year old brother from freely using the computer & isn't telling.

What do I look at?

Well the problem may be with your window explorer not necesaraly your computer

if the problem keep happenning u may want to notify your window manufacturer and send the error report when the options pops up and explain to them whats going on
