Opening windows in a full screen

For the last couple of weeks, when I click a link on a site page that opens a new browser window, the window opens at only half width and I must expand it. I have not installed any new software recently. I found a setting under options "Launch browser in full-window" and checked it but it has made no difference and the next time I look it has un-checked itself. The help says it is just for the home page anyway and the home page always opens full screen.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Al

I suggust the next time you click to the website for that new window and it comes up half way, before you close the window, expand it to its full size and then close the window Next time the window should open full size.
