HOw do I take my computer monitor off of standby mode?

my monitor stays in styand-by mode.....i can hear the sounds but no picture comes up...this is second monitor to do this.

If the monitor is working enough to do this, go to Windows Start, and point to Settings, and then to Control Panel Double-click on the Power Management icon, if your Control Panel has one

Turn Monitor Power Save Off

From the Power Management Properties window, select the Power Scheme tab, drop to the section labeled "Turn off Monitor" and select Never from the drop-down list box Click OK

Turn Standby Off

If the issue persists, repeat Steps 1 and 2, but this time, instead of turning the monitor off, go to the section marked System Standby and choose Never Click OK Evaluate the change in your system
