How or what to do to upgrade?

I purchased this computer new, from Dell, in November of 2001. Only a few days after it arrived back in 2001, I was transfered overseas. The computer has never been out of the box. It has been in storage, here in the states, ever since.

I am now back in Arizona and wonder what I should do as far as the operating system of this computer. i.e., I assume there have been many upgrades, security patches, and the like since the machine was built. Can you help by advising as to what I should do?

Go into the Microsoft.com site and you can get your latest upgrades Or while on-line go to start and click on the windows upgrade andit will take directly to the upgrades that you are looking for god luck and thank you.
