My computer freezes up when the phone rings even when offline.

Is this a modem issue or could it be a bios thing?

When we have "Callwave" everything is OK but now we want to run X10 cameras so we shut down Callwave.

Your problem is with how your modem is configured .

Right the my computer icon on your desktop

Scroll and click on properties

Click on the device manger tab

Scroll and right click on your computers modem

and select on properties

Click on the power management tab and select an option that suits your computing needs
