Works cannot finish spelling & grammar check because an error occurred

When attempting to do a spell check while using Microsof Word, Version 6.0 I get the following error message: Works cannot finish spelling & grammar check because an error occurred.

How do I correct this. The autocorrect does not work either.

In word you have a feature in help called detect and repair, use this feature first and see if this will resolve your issue, If not you might consider uninstall and reinstall office
