Can't detect modem

My computer drops isp. Reinstall modem action results in computer can not detect modem

Check to make sure your modem is secure and all the way in the slot you installed it.

If that is not the case, try another slot for installing your modem.

If you have call waiting on your telephone line when you get another call, that action will bump you off Go to your dialing porperties and add (*70,,) and then your number so that you have disabled call waiting while you are online This action should help Otherwise contact your ISP for a detailed reason why you are having this difficulty (It could just be traffic on the lines)
