My wife lost her restore disc and we now need to reset her computer. I tried to use a LEGAL copy of windows 98 Second Edition to reset her computer but it does not accept it. I then tried to format her hard drive so that the machine would be empty, but it tells me her hard drive is in use for another program. How can I get it working again?

Thank you

Alexander Taylor

If you lose your restore disc your best bet would be to call the manufacturer of your computer (dell, Compaq, HP, gateway, etc) and ask them to send you a new one If you need their customer support number just go to their web site Some companies will charge you a small fee for shipping and handling
