Why is apm disable?

in system information i checked problem devices.it came up with one.it said nt apm/legacy interface node. under code it said device was disabled. do i need this and how do i enable it?

If you get an error like apm/legacy interface node disable that means your motherboard and power supply does not support (advance power management) If your hardware supports apm it will be enabled automatically Your computers lack of apm support should not affect its performance; however you have a difficult time setting up energy saver and other similar functionalities
