COPYING WINDOWS 95 FILES TO 3. I have a Pentium IBM compatible (32.0 MB RAM), which has Windows 95 running on it. I also have Corel Wordperfect 7 installed which I use to create my files. I have another machine which is a 286 IBM compatible, which has Windows 3.1 running on it. Is it possible to copy my files from Corel Wordperfect onto the machine running Windows 3.1 so I can continue to write to my files using the Windows wordprocessor? Is this a ggod thing to do?

There is no way to "copy" WordPerfect files from Windows 95 to Windows 3.1 However, you can open a WP7 file (first save in Windows 95 if you are going to use WP7 again) and then choose "Save As." On the bottom of the Save As screen, there are format choices Click on the down arrow beside the choice of formats Of the many choices, you have WP 4.2 and 5.1 for DOS and WP 6.0/6.1 for Windows 3.1 After you save in another format, DO NOT SAVE the original document again when exiting Just close the document without saving Good Luck.
