Why my computer stop on me or quits on me when i

The Game Stops Responding or Quits Unexpectedly this is not the first time for me. what can I do to correct this any Ideas that can help will be very appreciated?

Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

Double-click System

On the Performance tab, click Graphics

Move the Hardware Acceleration slider one notch to the left of Full (the Most acceleration setting)

Click OK, and then click Close.

If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

Method 4: Update Your Video Driver

Contact the manufacturer of your video adapter for information about how to obtain and install the latest version of the video driver for your video adapter You may also visit the following Microsoft Windows Update Web site to see if applicable driver updates are available http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support This contact information may change without notice Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this third-party contact information To identify the name and manufacturer of your video adapter:

Click Start, and then click Run

In the Open box, type dxdiag, and then click OK

Click the Display tab

Under Device, look for Name and Manufacturer

Click Exit.

Lower Sound Acceleration

Click Start, and then click Run.

In the Open box, type DXDIAG, and then click OK.

On the Sound tab, in the DirectX Features section, change the Hardware Sound Acceleration Level to Basic acceleration.

Click Exit.

Update Your Sound Driver

visit the Windows Update site to look for applicable drivers.

To identify the name and provider of your sound driver:

Click Start, and then click Run.

In the Open box, type dxdiag, and then click OK.

Click the Sound tab.

Under Device, look for Name, and under Driver, look for Provider.

Click Exit.

Disable AGP Texturing in the DirectX Diagnostic Tool

Click Start, and then click Run.

In the Open box, type dxdiag, and then click OK.

Click the Display tab.

Under DirectX Features, next to AGP Texture Acceleration, click Disable.

Under AGP Texture, click Disable.

When you receive the following warning, click OK:

Click Exit.

Remove and Reinstall the Game

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

Double-click Add/Remove Programs On Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, click the Install/Uninstall tab.

In the list of installed programs, double-click the Microsoft game that you want to remove, and then click Uninstall or Change/Remove.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the removal process.

Insert the game CD-ROM into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation process.

If Setup does not start automatically:

Click Start, and then click Run.

In the Open box, type drive:\setup.exe, where drive is the drive letter of the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive.

Click OK.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation process.
